The World
There'll be a map here eventually! Honest!
There'll be a map here eventually! Honest!
Alabathia's Spine
One-half of the mountain range named after Alabathia the Druddigon, one of the earliest recorded explorers, Alabathia's Spine connects to Druddigon's Spine at Arceus's Throat.
Arceus's Throat
The tallest mountain in the world, and in past days rumoured to contain the most powerful Totem in existence at its top, though so few Pokemon have managed to scale the entire thing that the existence or otherwise of the Totem cannot be confirmed.
Bagdoral
A small town near to Druddigon's Spire, Bagdoral has one of the few remaining still-functioning Guildhouses (though in recent times, like most Guildhouses, its power and prestige has faded), where Melanie first joined the Explorer's Guild.
Celeste City
One of the largest known cities, Celeste was constructed around not one but three separate Totems, and is home to the Head Guildhouse of the Explorer's Guild, where the Guild Council meets. It is also where the Guild Library is situated, though the latter is rarely used nowadays.
Druddigon's Spine
A mountain range far to the northwest of Sandy Bay, Druddigon's Spire is where Melanie grew up. It connects to the Alabathia's Spine range at Arceus's Throat.
Galvantula Colony
A colony of, unsurprisingly enough, Galvantulas and Joltiks, where Franzeska grew up before being sent to Sandy Bay to join the guild. A short distance southeast of Sandy Bay.
Sainok Village
A small village a short distance south of Celeste City, where Kyria grew up and where Virgil moved to when he was young.
Sandfield Plains[/u]
One of the few extant Mystery Dungeons, the Sandfield Plains are well-known locally for being about as dangerous as the area around them - that is to say, not at all. Nonetheless, since they are most definitely still a Mystery Dungeon, the young Pokemon of Sandy Bay often dare each other to travel in a floor or two.
Sandy Bay
Sandy Bay is a rather small town which, like many such settlements, has shrunk in size rather over time. Nowadays, there are scarcely any residents beyond those that work at either the Guildhouse or the Farfetch'd Inn. Nonetheless, due to the presence of a powerful Dual Totem, around which the village was constructed, and the fact that the Sandy Bay Guildhouse is home to a Regional Guildmaster, the town still sees a not inconsiderable amount of custom from travellers. The Summer Festival, an annual celebration held in the town square, further increases this traffic.
The Guild suffered something of a setback six months ago, when part of the Guildhouse roof collapsed. No-one was injured, but it was something of an embarrassment to the Guild. The reconstruction of the Guildhouse has just concluded, and it is scheduled to be opened at noon on the first day of the Summer Festival.
Verdant Hills
A village to the northeast of Sandy Bay with a still-functioning if somewhat rickety Guildhouse, where Kyria and Virgil attempted to apply to be Explorers only for Virgil to be refused.
